Materials: The study included 106 patients with chronic generalized paradontitis of varying severity who were on an outpatient appointment with a dentist-surgeon. Methods: the study was performed by PCR method with real-time detection of the results, on the DT-96 detecting amplifier of NPO DNA Technology LLC Periodontoscreen kit. Statistical processing of the obtained results was carried out using the SPSS Statistics 11.0 program. Results: Porphyromonas gingivalis, Prevotella intermedia,&amp;nbsp;Tannerella forsythensis, Treponema denticola were found in etiologically significant concentrations in patients with chronic generalized periodontitis. At the same time, Porphyromonas gingivalis, Treponema denticola and Tannerella forsythensis were most often verified in patients, Prevotella intermedia was detected in a smaller number. Given this fact, it remains relevant to study the identified microorganisms in patients with chronic generalized paradontitis in order to establish their role in the etiopathogenesis of this disease.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The aim of the study was to evaluate the microbiocenosis of the periodontal pocket in chronic generalized periodontitis.
